CP Prima Cares about the Sunda Strait Tsunami Tragedy

On December 22, 2018, a tsunami event caused by the eruption of Anak Krakatau in the Sunda Strait hit the coastal areas of Banten and Lampung, Indonesia. At least 426 people were killed and 7,202 injured and 23 people were missing as a result of this incident. According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the tsunami was caused by high tides and underwater landslides due to the volcanic eruption.

CP Prima Cares about the Sunda Strait Tsunami Tragedy

As a form of company concern and attention to this incident, CP Prima through the "CP Prima Cares for disaster victims", took the initiative to provide assistance to disaster victims. Assistance provided was in the form of food items such as rice, mineral water, instant noodles, chicken eggs, and other staples.

This assistance was handed over directly to the victims, refugee representatives and disaster posts. It is hoped that with the assistance from CP Prima, it can slightly ease the burden on the people affected by the disaster and help their needs.
